COME PLAY IN THE DIRT WITH YOUR KIDS: THE “NEW” MOTOCROSS AT CASTROL RACEWAY
Castrol Raceway is excited to announce the partnership with Ronnie James Racing to coordinate and oversee the operations, promotions, and management of our 10 acre professional Motocross venue.
Ron Murphy and Ronnie James Racing is proud to bring a new look and a new riding experience to Castrol Raceway Motocross Venue. Our mission is to vitalize the sport and bring new life to the track, implement a rider development program, new events, sanctioned races and much more. “I’m looking forward to growing the sport of motocross in our community and meeting many of you as well!” says Ron Murphy, Castrol Raceway MX Partner.
Castrol Raceway is enthusiastic about the partnership and confident Ronnie James Racing will bring a new level of fun, competition, and professionalism to the MX sport and its devoted participants.
Big plans for the 2014 race season are already underway. The first significant change to the program is an extended Moto Practice schedule; MX practice sessions will run most Monday through Thursday evenings throughout the season. Participant entry will begin at 5:00pm to start off the schedule in May, with the prospect of extending the riding hours as the summer progresses- a full MX practice schedule is available at www.castrolraceway.com/motocross and www.ronniejamesracing.com In addition, new grooming equipment, a new track watering system, and improved starting gate and finish line are just few of the plans moving forward.
Riding Starts/Ends: 5:00pm - 9:00pm or dusk (which ever comes first)
(Riders must sign-in and pay BEFORE going on the track)
5:00pm - 6:00pm: Open practice (all bikes can run on the track at the same time)
6:00pm: Rider meeting
6:00pm - 9:00pm: Motocross bikes split into three groups:
- Expert/Pro class/Riders with extensive track experience.
- Junior level/Riders with track experience.
- Beginner level/Small wheel bikes with little to no track experience.
Cost: $20.00 per rider under 80cc
$30.00 per rider 80cc and over

Age - any age can practice, but riders under 18 years of age must be signed in by a parent/guardian who is 18 years or older.
Minimum safety equipment - helmet, goggles and MX boots.
No street bikes are allowed on the track. Off-road bikes only...motocross preferred. No quads.
No alcohol and/or drugs will be permitted at the track.
