Edmonton International Airport (EIA) is the primary air passenger and air cargo facility in the Edmonton Metro Region, capital city of the Canadian province of Alberta. It is a hub for Northern Alberta and Northern Canada, providing non-stop service to 60 destinations in Canada the United States, Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean. It is Canada's largest major airport by land mass and the fifth busiest in terms of passenger numbers. Operated by Edmonton Airports and located 14 nautical miles (26 km; 16 mi) south southwest of downtown Edmonton, in Leduc County, and adjacent to the City of Leduc, it served over 8.2 million passengers in 2014.
