Motocross
The Alberta Oldtimers Motocross Association and Castrol Raceways of Edmonton have entered to an agreement to manage the Motocross activities at the park for 2007. The Alberta Oldtimers will honor the intentions of the original purpose of track, to remain PUBLIC for anyone to ride. Riders of all skill levels are welcome; riders of all ages are welcome. This exciting team brings together the best of both worlds, two experience race organizations with the same passion, RACING, one on pavement and one on dirt.
Plans are in place to re-build the Motocross track to be challenging & fun for all skill levels. Official opening of the track is scheduled for May 15th. You may even see Rob Reeves, President of Castrol Raceways tearing it up in the newly designed track.
Both organizations are excited about the joint venture; many dealers and manufactures have expressed support for the exciting arrangement.
As well as organized practice and riding schools don’t be surprised to see a local series starting up.
The Alberta Oldtimers Motocross Association has been active in the province for over 30yrs. With a membership of over 300 along with a strong Motocross history, the AOTMX is a natural fit.
The association will provide Motocross experience to bring Castrol’s Motocross activities to a new level of enjoyment.
