For two days this August, Castrol Raceway in Edmonton will again be the center of the Sprint Car Universe, as the best Sprint Car drivers in the world, return for 4th Annual Oil City Cup with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on August 27-28. The winged warriors will do battle with their fire-breathing 850-plus horsepower machines each night for the $10,000 top prize. The Oil City Cup will be the only chance in 2010 that Sprint Car fans in Western Canada have to see the World of Outlaws in action, with their thrilling wheel-to-wheel brand of racing at breathtaking speed, just centimeters apart.
